Bush Unveils 'Realistic' Climate Strategy in Rose Garden Spe

Posted on April 16, 2008 in Climate changes

President Bush proposes new targets for curtailing nation's greenhouse gas emissions in an attempt to short-circuit what aides call a potential regulatory 'train wreck' if Congress doesn't act on climate change.Although Bush has in the past shown some common sense, He has now become certifiably Insane by condoning this global warming nonsense. President Calls for Flat U.S. Greenhouse Emissions by 2025 President Bush, in a Rose Garden speech on climate change, challenged the world’s biggest (and most polluting) countries to immediately end trade barriers on energy-related technology, beef up a fund to help bring less-polluting energy options to poor countries, and commit to curbing their greenhouse-gas emissions.

He says that John McCain has done more than Al Gore on warming. Never mind that Gore facilitated the first hearings on climate change in the late '70s, never mind that Gore was a prime mover in facilitating American involvement in the Kyoto Treaties, or that Al Gore won a Nobel Prize for his work. Posted on April 09, 2008 in Climate changes

A top government health official said Wednesday that climate change is expected to have a significant impact on health in the next few decades, the Associated Press is reporting today. "CDC considers climate change a serious public health concern," said Howard Frumkin, a senior official of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, who was giving a detailed summary on the likely health impacts of global warming at a congressional hearing. Certain segments of the population, particular David vs. Goliath: The Emerging Climate Fault Line A new fault line has emerged in the climate movement amidst a firestorm of debate over the past week. On one side is a group of old-guard and well-known environmentalists, and on the other is a newly forming alliance of climate and energy scientists who are challenging traditional beliefs held at the highest levels of the environmental establishment. What is happening should invigorate young activists to continue challenging conventional wisdom – and serve as an alarm to the entire movement.
